Dr McAlorum-Jones is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience of working in the Health service. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and has membership of the British Psychological Society and the Division of Clinical Psychology.
Since qualifying Dr McAlorum-Jones has worked in community and inpatient settings, therapeutically supporting individuals, families and staff teams. Her passion for working within developmental frameworks and across the lifespan, has led her to specialise within the fields of child and adult Intellectual Disability as well as Perinatal and Infant Mental Health.
Dr McAlorum-Jones is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities which enables her to use an integrative approach and tailor interventions based on individual client needs. Dr McAlorum-Jones is experienced in providing supervision and facilitating reflective practice. She also provides teaching and training across Queen’s University student and Health Service staff populations, on a range of clinical presentations and within a trauma-informed practice framework.
