Dr O’Loan qualified from Queens University Belfast in 2005 with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is also a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) and the Faculty for people with Intellectual Disabilities (FPID). Since qualifying Dr O’Loan has worked passionately with people who have a learning disability, across the age range, working with individuals, their families and carers within the Health and Social Care Trusts of Northern Ireland.
Nadene’s special areas of interest are in working with adults with intellectual disability who have additional mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. In addition, Nadene has a Master’s degree in applied psychology and a postgraduate diploma in Systemic Family Therapy. Nadene is also experienced in completing neuropsychological assessments for the assessment of intellectual disability, providing teaching and training, providing clinical supervision and in the completion of medico-legal assessments and reports.
