Catherine is a Specialist Clinical Psychologist who is registered with the HCPC and BPS, including membership of the Division of Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology Faculty.
Catherine has always pursued opportunities for specialist work, research and training within the area of Clinical Health Psychology. She is passionate about working with people from a whole person perspective seeking to understand the interconnectedness of the mind and the physical body, specifically within the context of long-term physical health conditions. Catherine has a special interest in the role of stress across the lifespan and its impact on both mental and physical health (psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology). Catherine has worked within Clinical Health Psychology with adults since qualifying and has honed skills in relation to adjustment and improving quality of life with a long-term health condition. She has specialist experience working with chronic pain.
Catherine is experienced working with both individuals as well as groups and enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team where shared expertise can maximise a patient’s outcomes.
In recent years Catherine has developed a special interest in women’s health, specifically the perimenopause stage and is seeking to develop services and research within this area as it relates to emotional wellbeing and pain.
