Clodagh qualified in 2001 with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Queens University Belfast. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Since qualifying she has worked with children, young people, and their families, having worked six years in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in the NHS in Northern Ireland. She has also worked for 4 years as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist within Paediatric ASD services.
She has spent the last 15 years working as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist within an NHS service providing support into preschool and primary schools, working directly with children on a 1:1 basis; providing group interventions, and providing training and consultation to education staff on a range of issues impacting on children’s psychological and emotional well-being. She is trained in the delivery of the Incredible Years Parent, Child, and Teacher programs and is a Solihull Approach trainer. She uses a range of therapeutic models in her work with children and young people.
