Dr Pilkington is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is an associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society (AFBPS) and National Assessor with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
She has worked as a consultant clinical psychologist within Adult Mental Health services in the Southern Health Trust for over twenty years and was former Head of psychological services within the Southern Trust. She has been working as an independent consultant over the last 12 years and has considerable experience of working clinically with adults who present with a wide range of mental health difficulties, with a particular interest in psychological trauma. She has considerable experience of working as an expert witness in civil, criminal and family court proceedings.
